The water is up and still rising. It is now as high as it was five years or so ago. The launch site at the "Point" is now pretty much gravel (no muck). The pictures linked above show several shots taken from the top of the boat ramp. Picture #5 shows a little submergted sandbar that was high and dry the previous day. The lake rose at least four vertical inches in a fourteen hour period (I would not have believed it if I had not been there).

I can't recommend Hattie at present due to the very low water level, but it is still used by locals and CO windsurfers, particularly on the 4 July weekend. Free in every sense. Fireworks are legal and abundantly available. Expect Wyoming wild, wooly and wondrous conditions. A unique experience not suitable for the comfort driven.
