Web Site Advertising Policy

(Approved at 1/11/09 RMWA Planning Meeting)

Considerations:

1. We are a windsurfing club whose objective is to promote windsurfing.
2. The club web site is run by a volunteer with limited time available.

Proposed:

1. Advertising is primarily a service to club members, and is not intended to be a revenue generating operation.
2. We will not do banner ads or pop-up ads.
3. Businesses and other organizations which pay a Business membership and/or provide donations of products, services, etc., will be listed as "sponsors" with an appropriate iconified link for the membership year in which the membership was paid or other "in kind" donations were contributed.
4. Classified ads will be provided subject to the following provisions:
   1. Classified ads will be limited to windsurfing-related items (equipment, specially modified vehicles, condo rentals, ride-sharing, lessons, etc.)
   2. A classified ad may be run one time only during any calendar year.
   3. A classified ad may be run for no longer than 90 days.
   4. A paid up club member may run one ad per year for no charge.
   5. An ad is limited to 50 words, text only (no images, etc.).
   6. Club members may purchase additional ads at a rate of $10 per ad.
   7. Non-members may purchase ads at a rate of $25 per ad.
   8. A classified ad submission form will be provided on the web site.

Ad payments should be by check made payable to "RMWA" and sent to Caren Craig, RMWA Treasurer, 1683 Bain Drive, Erie, CO 80516
